"Who You Are Matters"

Home

I currently call home La Cañada Flintridge, California. It is about 30 minutes north of the USC campus. Originally, I was born in Xinjiang, China and moved to the United States during elementary school.

About Me

I am not quite certain of exactly where I will end up other than the desire to work in the blockchain industry. Immediately after college, I plan to work at a research firm in the industry. Further, I am interested in working in venture capital as that is where I originated my passion for blockchain in a past internship.

The rest is rather uncertain, which I believe is what makes this industry exciting for me.

"If you don't know where you want to go, then it doesn't matter which path you take." - The Cheshire Cat (Alice in Wonderland)

I am like my parents in that I value family greatly. Additionally, I have also adapted how much they appreciate learning about other cultures and their history. I am unlike my parents in that I grew up influenced by the American education and mindset, which they have slowly adjusted to.

I have concrete and non-negotiable expectations for myself. I am grateful in that my parents are not authoritative and have left me to figure out what lines I hope to operate under.

Rather than a famous person, I constantly feel inspired by the entrepreneurs and students around me who are working diligently in the blockchain industry. I admire that they thrive through the extreme uncertainty and pressure from the industry with their discipline only because of their passion for the technology.

Connection with Nature

I have always resonated greatly with koalas. They symbolize family, stability, and community, which are values I hold dear to my heart. (P.S. I am also always sleepy)

When I was little, my grandpa had a stunning garden full of fruits and vegetables that he personally planted back in my home town. Some of my most cherished memories with my grandpa occurred every year around my birthday (end of May) when the figs were ripe and ready for us to pick right off the tree.

  1. Hey Elmira! I think it's super cool that you're interested in Blockchain. I don't know a ton about crypto, but I've interned at a crypto startup when I was a freshmen and thought it was an intriguing subject. I'd love to learn more about it. Also, I love how you put pictures!

  5. Hi Elmira. So cool that you are interested in blockchain. I made a ton of money and lost a ton of money during the whole Covid craze with Doge Coin and wondering if all of that will come back one day!
